Welcome to the City of Oshkosh Employment Page. We only accept online applications and only for positions that are currently posted below. Unless otherwise indicated, all positions remain posted at least two weeks or until final candidates have been selected, whichever is longer. The provisions contained in job notices do not constitute an expressed or implied contract. Starting salaries will be determined by Human Resources and the hiring department. Eligibility lists may be used on a periodic basis for certain positions and names pulled off the list as vacancies occur. If you are placed on an eligibility list, you may not be contacted for several months.

Citizenship:

This position will be filled as either an Operator I or Operator II, dependent upon certification. Operators work schedule will rotate between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, spending a week on each followed by 2 weeks as extra shift coverage. The plant operates 24/7, 365 days a year. When extra on shift, operators fill in for vacancies such as vacation, sick time, etc. They also perform maintenance tasks (grounds keeping, custodial, etc.) around the facility during this time.
